Creating Optimism in our classrooms?

Schools Pupils Growth Mindset 1 min read

On today's Making Mindset Real Podblast (1 min listen) Mary Cay Ricci, author of Mindsets In The Classroom talks modelling optimism. This is crucial in children and young people's services and in our classrooms.

If you want to #thrive and learners to develop their potential, we need to think motivation, optimism and encouragement. My own doctoral research further highlighted the need for young people to experience consistently high expectations from teachers and those involved in there care. So, we need to stop, think and be aware of our own influence on others is vital. Our language and actions matter. We all have influence, but we sometimes forget this.
