Book now to avoid disappointment

We are delighted to have James Nottingham, creator of the learning pit, come to a special event in Glasgow on 13th February in association with ourselves! This will be an amazing event to have space to think deeply about how we challenge our learners.

James Nottingham is the creator of the Learning Pit, author of 9 books, and employer of 30 staff in 6 countries. He has been a teaching assistant, teacher and leader across the 3-19 age range, and is now one of the most sought-after keynote speakers and in-school consultants.

Following his most recent tour with Professor Carol Dweck, he is offering an in-depth exploration of the best ways to develop resilience, curiosity and deep learning through:

  • Understanding how, when and for whom growth mindset helps, as well as when it doesn’t
  • Identifying the best ways to boost student efficacy as well as staff collective efficacy
  • Determining how to adjust feedback processes so that the actual gains live up to those identified by research (between 50-83% gain in progress)
  • Exploring how the Learning Pit encourages pupils to step out of their comfort zone, willingly to embrace challenge, and to stick at their learning until they achieve a deep level of mastery

Each event is suitable for leaders, teachers and consultants across the 3-19 age range.
